I’m trying to catch up with work all while preparing for the little one to arrive. He can actually be here anytime… However he will most likely wait for another few weeks, which is good as we are still waiting for the stroller, bed, nursing table etc. to be here. For those of you interested (and understands Danish) make sure to stop by Octobernine.dk – my blog for moms-to-be and all the new mommies where you’ll find shopping and beauty tips, interviews with some of the coolest ladies I know and pretty much everything that crosses my mind as pregnant.
And now to the outfit. How amazing is this Ganni dress?! Not only the print but also the layered and slightly see-through look of it. It was definitely love at first sight and teamed with a pair of Stan Smiths it works perfectly for a day in the city.
These boots weren’t the only piece I fell in love with when I visited Roger Vivier in Harrods Shoe Heaven two weeks ago. I walked out of the store in a pair of sorbet coloured flats that are so classic our grandmas could be wearing them yet so eye-popping we would be more likely to see them on the feet of Miroslava Duma or Alexa Chung. They perfectly add a dose of this season’s 1960s vibe to any look and teamed with a pair of printed pants you’ve got a winning look.
Tonight I’m heading to the launch party of the new Shoe Heaven in Harrods. Can’t wait to get out of pregnancy-state-of-mind for a few hours, and to get a closer look at the Silver Lining collection that features exclusive silver shoes designed by 37 different designers like Valentino, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Roger Vivier, Charlotte Olympia, Louis Vuitton and Alaïa.
A girl can never have too many shoes.
Wednesday night I went to a pre-shopping event for the new H&M Studio Collection and as you know (from this post) I had my eyes on quite a few pieces. I love the collection and it could have ended up in a quite expensive affair, but I was saved by the baby bump as it turned out to be very few pieces that I could actually fit into. On the top of my wish list I had the suede jacket, which I’ve been waiting for since the show back in March and it will keep me warm till the day I can finally afford the real deal from Acne (or Bruuns Bazaar).
Did you get the pieces you wanted from the collection?
Admitted. The shoes didn’t stay on for long today. However don’t blame it on the shoes but on my swollen feet. I had to show them to you (the shoes, not the feet) as they just landed in my wardrobe last week – and that’s another reason to look forward to the baby’s arrival in 5 weeks. Then I can finally fit into my shoes again.
This sweater dress was (and still is) my favorite piece from Maison Martin Margiela’s collection for H&M a few seasons back. The supersized sleeves don’t make it easy to wear with a coat so I mostly use it when in-between seasons, like now. Sweater dresses look great with pretty much any kind of footwear, and today I’m taking a cue from Stella McCartney by teaming it with a pair of platform shoes – one of the must have shoes this season.
