This sweater dress was (and still is) my favorite piece from Maison Martin Margiela’s collection for H&M a few seasons back. The supersized sleeves don’t make it easy to wear with a coat so I mostly use it when in-between seasons, like now. Sweater dresses look great with pretty much any kind of footwear, and today I’m taking a cue from Stella McCartney by teaming it with a pair of platform shoes – one of the must have shoes this season.
I got these 3.1 Phillip Lim leather shorts at a sample sale in LA a few years ago and they never disappoint whenever I’m in the mood for a boy-meets-girl look. Like today. I still consider the laced Jimmy Choo heels as the prettiest pair of shoes in my wardrobe and they perfectly contrast the slouchy leather shorts.
The silky blouse is new and I feel confident that it’ll turn into an everyday (and night) essential. I’m really looking forward to wear it with a black pencilskirt or skinny pants and heels post pregnancy.
The last outfit, but not the last post from Venice. Trust me, I’m saving the best for last…
As you can see from the shoot I did with Monica Vinader I’m really into culottes at the moment. I got these ones from Asos (in both black and navy) and have been living in them ever since. Not exactly the best quality but it’s super hard finding a pair of culottes that has an elasticated waistband, which I for good reasons will need until the baby is due. However, I’m strongly thinking about adding this Day Birger et Mikkelsen pair to my collection since I have a feeling that my love for culottes is much more than just a brief affair.
And then there’s the Louis Vuitton bag… I wish I could tell you that it belongs to me, but truth is, its only a loaner. Remember the first shoot I did with Louis Vuitton last summer? That was when I first got my eyes up for the world of the SC bag. It’s such a versatile piece – perfect for daily use – and the taupe color with neon trimmings will take any outfit to a whole new level.
This pleated Zara skirt turned out to be one of my best purchases back in the spring. I’ve been wearing it countless of times –and I can’t think of an occasion, where it wouldn’t work. Team it with sandals on hot summer days, with sneakers at work (or off-duty) and with heels after dark. Luckily the best pieces in your wardrobe are not always the ones that you paid the most for.
I’m sure that you’ve all noticed my love for cropped tops by now and to me By Malene Birger make the perfect ones. Slightly boxy and with a length that looks good whether you’re combining it with a pair of high-waisted pants or skirt, or with a camisole underneath and skinny jeans.
