I love this time of year, not just because of the holidays but also because of the Resort collections hitting the stores. And while the Resort collections were originally meant for wealthy jet-setters who needed something to wear for their winter-break, they now work more as a taster of what will come in spring – and of course to fill in the gap between seasons. Designers Remix has delivered one of the best Resort collections (make sure to enter the giveaway), and with temperatures above 10 degrees this outfit is most likely the closest I’ll get to a white Christmas this year.
Thanks to their perfectly cut jeans, classic outerwear pieces, and slouchy knits, Hunkydory has been a favorite of mine for years. The Swedish label delivers true staple pieces, and I love the attention to details – like the side zip on these pants and the padded collar on the sweater. I usually get my Hunkydory fix from their online store but can’t wait to stop by their flagship store in Stockholm the next time I’m in town.
Tibi is the brand to go to when it comes to cool culottes, and this striped pair went straight to the top of my shopping list when I was looking through the label’s new resort collection. Besides the clashing stripes and the wide legs I love the satin fabric that looks beautiful against a woollen sweater.
Another thing worth noticing about this outfit is the Love Knot necklace by Efva Attling. It won a place in my heart with its simple design and strong symbolic significance, and there’s no doubt that this is the kind of piece that will stay in my jewellery box forever.
When it comes to shopping there’s a lot of exciting things happening in Scandi-land at the moment. Proenza Schouler is the latest designer-label to open a store in Copenhagen, and that should give you another good reason to put the city on the top of your must-visit list. Or if you live in Copenhagen already, you now know where to go for your next shopping trip. The new store is located in Illum and carries a selection of bags and accessories. I can’t wait to stop by the next time I’m in Copenhagen.
And speaking of Proenza Schouler, I’m sure you have noticed that little blue thing I’m holding…
Every day I’m discovering pieces in my wardrobe that I wasn’t able to wear while pregnant, and today’s rediscovery is a pair of slouchy leather track pants by Raiine – my go-to label when it comes to cool essentials. And speaking of wardrobe essentials… One item that I can never have too many of is the boxy sweater. The latest addition to my collection is this woollen number by Designers Remix. To me the boxy sweater is one of the most versatile pieces you can get, and whatever you are wearing at the bottom you’ll always achieve an effortless look.
