Let’s talk about these Isabel Marant boots coming this Fall. Since I missed out on the black Lazio boot last Fall I’ve promised myself to act fast when these hit Matchesfashion.com sometime in August. The only problem is I can’t decide which of the two I like the most. We’re in a situation here where I would by both of them if money wasn’t an issue… You?

Lad os snakke lidt om disse Isabel Marant boots, der kommer til efteråret. Eftersom jeg gik glip af de sorte Lazio støvler sidste efterår har jeg lovet mig selv at handle hurtigt, når de rammer Matchesfashion.com på et tidspunkt i august. Det eneste problem er bare, at jeg ikke kan beslutte mig for, hvilken af de to jeg bedst kan lide. Hvis penge ikke var et issue ville jeg købe dem begge. Dig?

THE MORE I LOOK AT IT, the more I love it. Yesterday I stopped by H&M to get a closer look at the Fall collection, which was first presented on the catwalk of Paris Fashion Week. It’s dramatic, glamourous and tomboy-ish at the same time – and there’s not one of the above pieces that I couldn’t see myself be wearing. I simply love everything. My favourites (if I have to choose) are the leather pants, the white (faux) fur, the boots and the skirt, but I don’t want to miss out on the embellished pants, the chunky sweater or the cropped jacket either. Mark your calendar – the collection hit stores September 5th.

JO MERE JEG KIGGER PÅ DEN, des mere elsker jeg den. I går var jeg forbi H&M for at se nærmere på den efterårskollektion, der fik H&M på catwalken i Paris for første gang tilbage i marts. Kollektionen er dramatisk, glamourøs og tomboy-ish på samme tid – og jeg kan se mig selv i alt. Mine favoritter inkluderer læderbukserne, støvlerne, den hvide (faux) pels og nederdelen med cut-outs, men jeg vil heller ikke gå glip af de embellished bukser, den chunky sweater eller den cropped jakke. Sæt kryds i kalenderen – kollektionen lanceres d. 5. september, hvilket heldigvis giver os god tid til at overveje, hvor pengene skal bruges.

ATTENDING PRESSDAYS can be a dangerous affair. The other day I stopped by My-wardrobe to see what’s coming this Fall and since then these 3 pieces haven’t left my mind… The designer behind the bag, Elena Ghisellini, is new to me, but apparently she also designs and consults for Givenchy. I don’t wanna know the price – I just know I need to start saving… The shoes are Proenza Schouler and I was so thrilled to see that My-wardrobe will stock footwear from one of my absolute favorite designers this fall. The shorts (which look like a skirt) are J.W. Anderson and all they need is a chunky sweater and flats.

AT TAGE TIL PRESSEDAGE kan hurtigt udvikle sig til en farlig affære. I sidste uge var jeg forbi My-wardrobe for at kigge nærmere på nogle af de ting, der kommer til efteråret – og lige siden har jeg haft disse 3 items i tankerne. Tasken er designet af Elena Ghisellini, der udover at designe for sit eget mærke også designer for Givenchy. Jeg er ikke sikker på, at jeg vil kende taskens pris – jeg ved bare, at jeg nok godt kan begynde at spare op… Skoene er fra Proenza Schouler (nyt mærke hos My-wardrobe fra efteråret) og shortsene, der ligner en nederdel er fra London-designeren J.W. RAIINE is your reason to look forward to next season. It’s simple, it’s effortless and I see a lot of pieces I need to have in my wardrobe. The first collection from the Copenhagen-based brand is coming out in August and even though we have to wait another 5 months before it hits stores I decided to have a little chat with the designer behind RAIINE, Maria Leonhardt.

RAIINE in 3 words…

“Independent, understated and careless.”

What motivates you?

“Life in general is my motivation. I love that my life is hectic and that I often need to fight to get to where I want. Everything is constantly changing and it’s challenging to keep focus on myself, my personal essence and signature – all these thoughts are summed up in RAIINE.”

Where do you find your inspiration?

“Somehow I have always found inspiration in the prairie – or the thought of it. And it’s always been like that. Maybe because it embodies both ultimate freedom and wildness at the same time. And then the grey brutality of a big city… My thoughts are not complicated – RAIINE is an accessible product and my signature lies within the details. My points of inspiration can be opposing and spontaneous, but I am good at cutting to the chase. Distilling and finding essence within the available framework.”

Key-items?

“The first collection is quite small and casual. Pieces you would want to wear in everyday life. Almost without season. This will change over time, but I prefer to keep to the point and only focus on the most necessary. Personally I do not need 10 ‘remixes’ of the same item. Choose one – the one you keep returning to. By choice I have not worked with jeans before, but the idea of creating just that one style that covers all needs, has a perfect fit, is understated and classic, but still a bit dirty and raw resulted in the style called ‘Dubois’ from the aw13 collection. Personally I don’t need other jeans. My favorite is the black, super soft T-shirt with unfinished hems and a delicate pointelle design that references the chevron figure in the RAIINE logo. Feminine yet not. The collection also holds a suede jacket with fringes – a classic if you ask me, but a modern version with very tight lines.”

Designeren bag Blake er rykket videre til RAIINE, der lancerer sin første kollektion til efteråret. Looket er enkelt og underspillet – og jeg ser allerede virkelig mange items jeg på ingen måde kan undvære i min garderobe. Derfor var der selvfølgelig heller ingen anden udvej end at få sig en kort snak med designeren bag RAIINE, Maria Leonhardt.

Hvad motiverer dig?

“Livet generelt motiverer mig. Jeg elsker, at mit liv er hektisk, og at jeg skal kæmpe lidt for tingene. Alt ændres konstant, og det er en udfordring at holde fast i sig selv og finde en kerne og en personlig signatur. Mange af mine tanker i dén retning opsummeres i RAIINE.”

Hvor finder du din inspiration?

“Inspirationsmæssigt vender jeg altid tilbage til prærien, og det har jeg gjort lige så længe, jeg kan huske. Det har noget at gøre med konstellationen mellem frihed og vildskab – og så den råhed som storbyen byder på. Jeg tænker ikke så kompliceret, RAIINE er let at gå til og min signatur ligger i detaljerne. Mine inspirationskilder kan være ret modsatrettede og spontane, men jeg er god til at skære tingene ind til benet. Til at koge det ned og finde essensen indenfor de rammer, jeg har sat mig.”

Kollektionens key-items?

“Den første kollektion er smal og hverdagsorienteret. Nærmest uden sæson. Det vil ændre sig med tiden, men jeg er tilhænger af kun at fokusere på det mest nødvendige. Jeg behøver personligt ikke 10 forskellige versioner af samme item. Vælg den ene, den som holder og den du vender tilbage til. Jeg har med vilje ikke arbejdet med jeans før, men med tanke på at lave bare en enkelt model, der dækker alle behov – sidder perfekt, er underspillet og klassisk og alligevel støvet og rå – så opstod Dubois, som er den jeans model, som er med i aw13 kollektionen. Personligt behøver jeg ikke andre jeans. Min personlige favorit er den sorte, silkebløde T-shirt med rå kanter og et delikat hulmønster, der har referencer til chevron figurerne i logoet. Den er både rå og meget feminin på samme tid. Der gemmer sig også en ruskindsjakke med frynser i kollektionen – en klassiker (i min verden), men opdateret med meget stramme linier.”
