The new Maestro Foundation from Giorgio Armani is the latest addition to my makeup-purse. I’ve been using the Luminous Silk Foundation (also Giorgio Armani) for years and still do, but I needed something a bit lighter for everyday. This one is perfect. It’s easy to apply with your fingers and blends perfectly into the skin leaving it soft and very natural-looking. Plus it contains spf 15. I’ve tried a lot of different foundations over the past years, but this one is definitely one of the best for lighter coverage.

HELLO THERE NASTY PANTS! This was exactly my husband’s words, when I put on these embellished pants this morning. I, on the other hand love them. So Prada – if only I had a matching jacket. Anyways, they’re from H&M and in stores now. As you may know I’m all for contrast dressing and a pair of shiny pants needs a woolen sweater. This one from By Malene Birger felt like the right choice and is definitely one of those items I know I’ll be wearing over and over again. It’s soft, oversized and it also looks great with a skirt and a long sleeved tee underneath.

HELLO THERE NASTY PANTS!

I’m wishing for a beautiful pair of lace-up heels. Perhaps it’s not the best time of the year to wish for this kind of shoes (I mean, they don’t really work with stockings), but who cares when they’re pretty, right?

This is what I was wearing for the MMM with H&M party Tuesday night. I wish I had an outfit picture to show you, but it was dark and cameras weren’t allowed – phones only and snapping a decent outfit picture in the dark turned out to be more than my Iphone 4 could handle (I really need the new 5). Anyhow, I decided to keep it simple and oversized – just like the MMM with H&M collection. The blazer is from Acne and a couple of years old. It’s long enough to be used as a short dress, so that’s what I did. Luckily it was just perfect with my new Alexander Wang heels and the Lomme clutch, which kind of goes with everything.

I’m back in LA after the most amazing days in NYC. I arrived Monday night and went straight to dinner at The Standard Grill with the rest of the Danish press. Tuesday I did a little shopping before going to the Maison Martin Margiela with H&M meet and greet to get a closer look at the collection.
It’s definitely the most unexpected, exciting and coolest collaboration H&M has done so far and I love how everything is so very Margiela. Shape and Volume, Oversized, Process of Tailoring, Ambiguity and Transformation are themes of the collection, which represents an overview of Margiela’s creative approach. The collaboration ‘presents a re-edition of iconic Margiela garments and accessories for men and women. Each piece is specifically labelled with a unique tag indicating the season from which it originated, spanning 23 years since the Maison’s foundings’. That includes the circle shirt from the SS02 collection, the biker jacket from the SS12 collection, the oversized jeans from the AW00 collection and the knit sock sweater, which was a part of the AW91 collection.
Among my favorite pieces are an oversized turtleneck (completely impossible to snap a decent picture of), the black ankle boots, the oversized blazer, the circle shirt, the oversized jeans, a pair of black leather leggings and a black leather dress, which Helena Christensen wore to the launch party later that day. Okay, that was a lot… You’re next! What’s your favorites pieces?
UPDATE: I’ve posted the complete collection + prices on Facebook – including that awesome turtleneck I want so badly. Have a look here – and let me know your favorites!!
