Proenza Schouler can’t do wrong. Wednesday night they showed their SS13 collection during New York Fashion Week – and I’m so in love with it. Inspired by the constant flow of random images on Tumblr blogs and a Gerhard Richter exhibition in Paris Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez went for lots of leather (most of it laminated or perforated), exotic skins, satin, bright colors and patchwork en masse. The skirts were knee-long, the jackets boxy. Belts sat low on the hips and the shoes were skyhigh. The most surprising element in the collection was the printed dresses. Some with slices of different images that had been spliced together to create a rather graphic look and some that was decorated with flat studs and eyelets. And then there was the bags… I die.
Proenza Schouler skuffer aldrig.
