I love this autumn’s shade of orange, which has a really cool retro-feeling. Come live with me…

CARVEN SS12

11/09/29 - 08:57 - In: INSPIRATION

I love when the fashion week hits Paris where most of my favourite designers are showing. Carven is for sure one of them. It’s wearable, affordable (almost) and I love the girly quirkyness, which characterizes the French house. The ss12 collection is colorful and with classic Carven-pieces like the highwaisted shorts, the collars and the cutouts. Nothing new, but very pretty and very chic. I especially love the bottom look with the cropped top and the pencilskirt. Gorgeous.

THE COS WEBSHOP IS OPEN

11/09/29 - 02:37 - In: SHOPPING

I’m so happy! COS has finally opened a webshop. It didn’t even take a week from we heard the rumors till it opened. Never again will I have to miss out on COS pieces just because I moved to Los Angeles. Well, it could be better as they’re only shipping within Europe, but luckily I have a very sweet mom, who I’m sure would love to send me my COS-fix (right, mom?). I’ve already placed my first order… I’m sure you’re about to do the same in a minute.

Visit the webshop right HERE.

If you’re in Copenhagen tonight do make sure to visit COS, where you’ll get a 15% discount all night. COSTUME is once again hosting Fashion After Dark, which was a huge success last year. This year even more shops are participating and I’m sure it’ll be an absolutely amazing shopping night! I’m really sad that I won’t be able to join the fun, but I hope you’ll all have a great night. Find out all about Fashion After Dark in the guide that Costume has made. You’ll find it HERE. I would make sure to visit Georg Jensen (be there at 6pm), Mulberry (concert at 8pm), Line & Jo (10% discount + pizza&beer), Baum und Pferdgarten (20% discount), Apartment no7 (20% discount), Stig P (25% discount on selected pieces) and The Lot, where my former colleagues from COSTUME will be. I miss them so much.

DRIES VAN NOTEN SS12

11/09/29 - 01:36 - In: INSPIRATION

One of my friends just texted me: “OMFG. Check Dries van Noten. You’re gonna fucking love it. It’s so beautiful.” And he’s absolutely right. I’m in love. Amazing prints, silhuettes, colors and accessories. Instant cravings are the short grey/black jacket, the sunglasses (all of them) and the two bottom looks with strappy sandals, slim pants and voluminous dresses.

Just like Lotte I’ve also got my hands on the lace skirt from Zara – though I settled for the blue one. I have been waiting for it to hit the stores for what feels like a long long time. It’s perfect. Or almost – I would prefer it without the golden zipper at the back (luckily it’s short). Not a fan. I prefer it to be silver or even better – hidden.

The glue-on colourful leather-eyeliner from Spring 2015 as seen on Fendi has moved and got another texture. At Ohne Titel a caviar beaded plum eyeliner below the waterline was shown. While James Kaliardos, make-up artist at the Rodarte Fall 2105 show, chose a liner of Swarowski stones that he attached to the midsection below the waterline. […]

Far far away from 1 dollar festival shades, big arenas and printed tank tops, there’s a festival called Sónar and it’s a true celebration to music in it’s purest form. The festival started over two decades ago in Barcelona and this was the second time Stockholm had the honor to experience it, and yes it was […]

I haven’t met one single person during the last few months who hasn’t  been complaining about that they look and feel tired. This time of year easily does that to you, if you live in Sweden you hardly see the sun between November and April. Here are a couple of tips and quick fixes that […]

Even before the show, we knew that Alexander Wang Fall 2015 were going to rock the runway. He proved us right, but not the way we expected. The collection in general wasn’t so extreme. All the pieces wold definitely make it to a “real” persons wardrobe without standing out. Is Wang becoming discret and caring […]

Something happened to the Jason Wu aesthetic since the First Lady became a loyal customer to the American brand. Jason Wu has always been a master of creating sophistication, previously with a breeze of youth but for Fall 2015 his girl has clearly aged and became more mature. She is confident, strong and rich. Not […]

Oh Rodebjer, how do you manage to fulfill our effortless yet most extravagantly ordinary fashion week fantasies one season after another? That’s the question that I still have on my mind after last evening’s New York Fashion Week show at the, always so aesthetically and pleasingly cool, Bowery Hotel. First of all, let’s establish this once […]

Before and in-between the fashion weeks, we wanted to ask Kyle Anderson, Style and Accessories Director of Marie Claire about his thoughts about the upcoming fashion weeks. What are your expectations of this season and what do you think we’ll see the most of? A theme that we have seen that continues to evolve ever since […]
